How to attend an open event

A few simple steps so you get the most out of a visit.

  1. 1. Check the date and campus - some colleges have several sites, so make sure you go to the right one.
  2. 2. Book a place on the college website if they ask you to register; most open events are free and you just turn up otherwise.
  3. 3. Take a parent or carer with you if you can, and allow time to look around more than one department.
  4. 4. Ask about entry requirements, what a normal week looks like, travel and bus passes, and what support is on offer.
  5. 5. Tell your tutor which events you want to go to - we can help with transport, questions to ask and your application afterwards.
